Dr Krieg's background
I’m a licensed counseling psychologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in the connection between physical and mental health. With a background in primary care mental health and a holistic approach, I focus on the mind-body connection—because how we feel physically can deeply influence how we feel emotionally, and vice versa.

I work with adults facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, relationship challenges, anger, sleep disorders, and women’s perinatal health. My therapeutic style is grounded in evidence-based treatments that are practical, compassionate, and tailored to your unique goals. Together, we’ll work on developing tools and strategies to reduce your symptoms and help you feel more in control—both mentally and physically.
My clinical specialty is in health psychology, focusing on the intersection of medical and mental health concerns. I am certified in trauma-focused treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy, and have extensive experience adapting these therapies for individuals and groups through telehealth. This means you can access high-quality, research-based care from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

One of my greatest passions is helping people improve their sleep. Sleep is foundational to overall wellness—supporting everything from immune health and emotional balance to memory, focus, and decision-making. I specialize in treating sleep disorders using evidence-based approaches like CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and CBT-N (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Nightmares). Whether your sleep difficulties are tied to trauma, stress, or chronic health issues, I offer a compassionate and strategic approach to help you rest better and feel better.
As a certified trainer in CBT for nightmares, I also provide professional consultation and training for other therapists learning this powerful treatment for trauma-related sleep issues.

Why is Sleep important?
-
Promotes good health by contributing to a healthy immune system
-
Regulates emotions
-
Supports cognitive functioning: memory, learning, attention, concentration, judgment
-
Balances our appetite by regulating hormones that impact feelings of hunger and fullness
